The reigning F1 world champion Max Verstappen is in real danger of losing his crown this year. A fast-charging Lando Norris is hot on Verstappen’s heels and thus, the latter can’t afford any major slip-ups in the remaining races in 2024.

But despite this, Max Verstappen is taking solace in the fact that he still has a 47-point buffer over Lando Norris. The ongoing campaign has only four races remaining on the calendar and it won’t be easy for Norris to overturn the deficit.

However, in case Verstappen incurs a DNF in the upcoming rounds, things could insanely spice up in their fierce battle.

The advantage is still 47 points. We just hope we can be a little more competitive.

Verstappen is optimistic with his current lead but hopes for Red Bull to produce a slightly better RB20 for the remaining races. The Milton-Keynes-based team’s challenger was nowhere near the level of Ferrari at last week’s Mexican Grand Prix.

While Max Verstappen is in a positive mind frame heading into the last four races, he has also taken the time to encourage his team in the ongoing difficult times. The Christian Horner-led Red Bull has not had the kind of slump they’ve had this year for quite some time.

The 2021 campaign was the last time, the Austrian outfit was really made to sweat in F1.

A bad day lacking race pace. I know we can do much better, so let’s keep pushing. Onwards to Brazil!

Lando Norris has been one of the standout performers of the 2024 F1 season. He has amassed three Grand Prix wins and is one of the favorites to amass a few more by the end of the campaign.

For Max Verstappen, victories do not seem like a possibility keeping in view the lackluster pace of the RB20. From Brazil onwards, Norris will pull out all the stops in order to get close to Verstappen in the championship and it will be fascinating to see how the reigning champion will tackle the Norris problem in the upcoming races.
