Tensions between Max Verstappen and George Russell have escalated since the Qatar GP. After Verstappen’s outburst last weekend, things have become worse in Abu Dhabi. The four-time world champion is once again on the offensive against the Mercedes driver.

George Russell did not hold himself back this weekend. The British driver insisted that Verstappen threatened to push him into the wall. Though, the 27-year-old denied this claim. Moreover, the Mercedes driver joked that Michael Masi would’ve feared for his life if Max Verstappen was the one who lost the 2021 title.

Max Verstappen reckoned that Russell was simply a bully. The Red Bull driver highlighted that George Russell was a ‘loser’ who was trying to bring in lies together to make his case. The four-time world champion insisted that he had only shared his opinion over the Briton regarding what happened with the Stewards last weekend.

The Dutch driver revealed that Russell did make comments over the 2021 championship battle even in front of the Stewards. Max Verstappen joked that the Mercedes driver often insinuates several things which don’t actually make sense. Verstappen’s arch-rival Lando Norris even sided with the 27-year-old on this saga.
