Red Bull was in a highly tumultuous state after the ever-growing tensions amongst the top roles of the team. However, Milton Keynes has maintained highly professional behavior and continued to dominate the playing field. Max Verstappen was rumored to exit the team amidst these conditions. The Dutchman has since responded to these rumors and showcased a strict statement.
Max Verstappen was considered as a prime candidate for Mercedes amidst Lewis Hamilton‘s exit from the team. However, the 26-year-old made it very clear that not even ‘$250 Million’ would watch him exit Milton Keynes. Additionally, the Dutchman was asked a question whether he would leave F1 if Red Bull isn’t the fastest. Upon this, Verstappen noted that this wasn’t how Formula 1 worked where he could just leave the sport.

I don't think that is how Formula 1 works, where you could suddenly say, 'Bye guys'.Max Verstappen said, as reported by racingnews365.com.
Apart from this, Verstappen has a contract with the team at least until the end of the 2028 season. Hence, the 26-year-old claimed that he was happy with his current team with the long contract. Subsequently, Milton Keynes was focusing on the challenger development for the coming season. As a result, it was clear where the Dutchman would be for the coming season and onwards.
I have a long contract with the team and I'm very happy where I am at. We are focusing on next year with things that we can implement on the car, so I guess that should say enough for where I am driving next year.Max Verstappen added.
Max Verstappen accepted that competition was ‘very tight’ against Red Bull in the 2024 season
Max Verstappen had started the 2024 season off in great form after his dominant 2023 run. However, the previous issues that Red Bull downplayed have started causing trouble. Additionally, the RB20 faces major issues while maneuvering over the bumps and curbs. Hence, Verstappen noted that the most important fact was to have a competitive car for the future.
I've said this before, and naturally people are talking of course, but it is most important that we just have a very competitive car for the future.Max Verstappen noted.
Apart from this, the competition has never been closer for Red Bull in the ground-effect era. The Dutchman pointed out this fact and how Milton Keynes was continuously working on the issues. Verstappen had already mentioned these issues to the team and looked forward to swiftly working on them.
At the moment it is very tight but we are working well as a team to try and improve and for sure, I already said this to the team, we are working and focusing on next year to try and be competitive again.Max Verstappen concluded.
Verstappen has continued to defy all odds and continue to win despite the struggles. The end of the season could showcase a great competition between the top teams. Hence, the team will have to continue implementing the in-season upgrades in hopes of improving performance massively.
