“You only live once,” Max Verstappen claims he tries to ‘enjoy life’ despite hectic F1 career

Max Verstappen has won seven races of the 2024 season and is leading the championship with a comfortable margin. His focused demeanour is often considered to be the reason for his sucess. Despite his determination towards the championship and love for other forms of motorsport, the Dutchman revealed his life mantra and claimed he tries to enjoy life in his prime years.
The 26-year-old has been at the F1 grid for almost a decade. In his action-packed career, he has won thre championships and is in fight to add another trophy to his cabinet. While he has earlier admitted that he would enjoy other forms of motorsport later down the line after his retirement from the championship, he has also focused on maintaining his personal life with his hectic racing schedule.
Subsequently, when he was asked regarding his relaxed attitude amid rising tensions, Max Verstappen revealed his motto.

Verstappen admitted the claims about his relaxed behavior and asserted that while F1 was a major part of his life, he is there to enjoy his life. Though he currently enjoys his life by being an F1 driver. The Dutchman mentioned that we only live for once and he would like to make the most out of his life and envelope himself in new experiences.

While the 26-year-old was reflecting upon his life and passion, he spends the meantime with his close ones. He has often been spotted with her partner Kelly Piquet and step-daughter Penelope outside the F1 world and gives ample of time for his family.
Verstappen admitted that he is currently doing what brings fun to him.
Of course, outside of Formula 1, spending time with your friends and family. Just doing fun things. At the moment, that doesn’t work out as often as I would like, because you’re on the road a lot for racing. That’s part of the sport now. But that will come back to bite you at some point when you, yes, look at the quality of life. The Dutchman accepted the reality of the sport as the calendar has been expanding every year. Moreover, the F1 calendar currently holds 24 races, the most in a season ever. Thus, he accepts the harsh reality of being in a sport that demands a lot of time but reveals he tries to spend time with his close ones.
Apart from this, the reigning champion has a comfortable 78-point lead in the interim standings over his nearest rival, Lando Norris. Thus, he has 10 races to defend his lead and claim a fourth consecutive world championship amid the rising competitiveness of the field
