Red Bull and Max Verstappen have been regarded as the unbreakable duo on the F1 grid. However, the landscape the changed recently as tensions boiled up within the team and rumors regarding his departure were on the rise. In stark contrast to such rumors, Verstappen recently lashed out at the speculations and claimed he intends to end his career with the Austrian giant.
The reigning champion joined the F1 grid back in 2015 under the Toro Rosso stable. He was soon promoted to the senior team (Red Bull) after just four rounds in 2016 and claimed his maiden win. This set the precedent for what was to follow in the coming years as Max Verstappen emerged as a triple champion in 2023. However, things between the two were on the verge of falling apart as the recent saga continued within the team.
Despite such speculations, the Dutchman boasted his loyalty to the Austrian marque.
I am quite a loyal person and it is something that means a lot to me. That is what I request from the team and so far that has always been great and that is what I want to keep for a long time. It would be amazing to finish my career here at Red Bull. All the years staying basically at one team would be incredible.Max Verstappen said in an interview with The Guardian
The 26-year-old elaborated that he is loyal to Red Bull. He then stated that he has only a single requirement that the Milton Keynes-based outfit needs to fulfill, which is to reciprocate the same loyalty towards him. Moreover, if this requirement is met, he is happy to stay with the team and reckons that it would be incredible to end his career with them before walking away from the sport.

The Austrian gave an insight into how Verstappen dealt with the situation.
Max[Verstappen] disengaged himself out of it and is concentrated on racing. So he did a very good job. That is something you have to put aside, especially in a situation where you are so challenged as a team and technically and everyone has to pull together.Helmut Marko said in an interview with OE24
Marko elucidated that the 26-year-old separated himself from all the drama going on within Milton Keynes. Despite the loss of key personnel from their arsenal, the latter remained focused on racing and acted as a part of the team amid crises.
The Dutchman’s response would have put an end to rumors regarding his move to another team. Apart from this, Verstappen is leading the interim standings by 31 points ahead of Charles Leclerc and is the favorite to win the championship this year, his fourth one is succession.
