“It is how it is,” Max Verstappen claims Red Bull had a ‘good’ Qualifying despite losing out on pole position at Canadian GP
Max Verstappen reckoned that he was not disappointed by securing P2 in Canadian GP Qualifying after George Russell clinched pole position.

Max Verstappen was believed to be the favorite for the 2024 F1 title. Despite dominating Formula 1 in the past two seasons, it seems that the Dutch driver is having a hard time this year. The three-time world champion lost out on pole position to George Russell at the Canadian GP. Verstappen expressed his views after the session.
The three-time world champion claimed ‘it is how it is’ after finishing second in Qualifying. Max Verstappen insisted that Red Bull still had a positive outing in Montreal on Saturday. The Dutch driver admitted that the entire weekend had been tricky for the Milton Keynes-based so far. Sergio Perez was knocked out in Q1.

Subsequently, Verstappen was content with a P2 finish in the session. The reigning world champion claimed that he would have happily taken a second-place start for the race before heading into Qualifying. Max Verstappen will start right behind pole-sitter George Russell for Sunday’s race.

Max Verstappen hopeful for ‘exciting’ Canadian GP
Max Verstappen would be looking to go back to winning ways this weekend after a poor result at the Monaco GP. Subsequently, the Dutch driver insisted that fans could witness an interesting race on Sunday which could provide some exciting on-track action.

Verstappen reckoned that he was not stressed about the race start. The three-time world champion would undoubtedly try to clinch the lead from Russell heading into the first corner. However, the changeable conditions could have a massive impact on the pecking order.

Certainly, Max Verstappen would be looking to emerge victorious in Montreal. A victory for the Dutchman would be a massive boost for Red Bull which has faced multiple issues in the past few weeks. However fans would need to wait to see if the three-time world champion does challenge George Russell for the lead at the race start.
