The upcoming Austrian GP is one of the most important races for Red Bull. The Austrian constructor has to put up a grand show at the home race. Max Verstappen‘s in-form performance will further increase the chances of Milton Keynes to score the race win in Austria. However, with the Netherlands’ victory in the Euros 2024, Helmut Marko asked the Dutchman to concentrate on the upcoming race.

Max Verstappen has continued to score impressive results despite Red Bull’s struggling pace in the 2024 season. Milton Keynes will have to ensure everything regarding the challenger is in order for the Austrian GP. The Dutchman has scored impressive results in his previous outings at the infamous Red Bull Ring. Hence, Helmut Marko is concerned with Verstappen’s performance at the upcoming home race weekend.

Verstappen recalled a hilarious conversation between the two. The Dutchman was rooting for the Netherlands to score a victory against Austria in the Euros. However, Marko immediately noted that the 26-year-old wasn’t a football expert and hence, should focus on winning the Austrian GP in F1.

The Austrian fans always put up a great welcome for the Austrian constructor. The circuit is filled with Orange, depicting Verstappen and Red Bull’s love. Additionally, the fans expect a great performance from the duo at their home race. Hence, Max Verstappen took to X to showcase his feelings regarding the warm welcome at the Red Bull Ring.

Verstappen noted that it was good to be back at Red Bull’s home ground in the 2024 season. The Dutchman will have to work extra hard and score an impressive race win. Red Bull’s struggling pace could pose multiple challenges for the reigning world champion. Regardless, the 26-year-old added that it was great to see so many fans visiting the race over the weekend.

Max Verstappen is currently leading the drivers’ championship by only 69 points. The Dutchman can come close to in-form Lando Norris towards the end of the 2024 season. Hence, every race is extremely important for the reigning world champion and Red Bull due to the close competition.
