We're slowly getting closer. Last year, we were very fast here, so you have to take it with a pinch of salt, but obviously the last couple of races we've been relatively competitive. So, I think we have closed the gap a little bit, but we still have a good couple of tenths to try and find. We just have to have all hands on deck and keep pushing.
Lewis Hamilton said after the Spanish Grand Prix

Hamilton exclaimed that the Silver Arrows have managed to close the gap by a little bit to Red Bull and McLaren, who are currently the top teams on the grid in terms of performance. However, the Ferrari-bound driver also pressed on the need for the team to keep pushing and improving to find a good couple of tenths in their pace to catch up to the faster teams in the paddock.

Lewis Hamilton currently stands eighth in the drivers’ championship with 70 points to his name, which is a lackluster outcome for the seven-time world championship and his brilliant standards. However, a ray of light shines in the direction of the 39-year-old as Mercedes shows continuous signs of improvement heading into the upcoming races of the season.
