Max Verstappen has just been spotted inspecting Lewis Hamilton‘s W15 after the Las Vegas Grand Prix qualifying. George Russell, in the other Mercedes challenger, operated in a league of his during the Q3 session and secured pole position for the main race in Grand style.
Mercedes for some reason, has been quick all weekend during the ongoing Las Vegas event. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton were able to light up the timing sheets in the practice sessions as well.
While Hamilton ended his qualifying in P10 because of some issues, Russell went on to grab P1. Following this, Max Verstappen was seen checking out Hamilton’s W15 in parc ferme conditions after the qualifying event.

One of the main reasons for this could be the fact the Brackley-based team hasn’t been at the top end in qualifying in recent events. The Dutchman, on his end, managed a decent P5 starting position for tomorrow’s 50-lap Grand Prix.
Sergio Perez expected a ‘very difficult qualifying’ in Las Vegas
While Max Verstappen has been seen having a serious look at the Mercedes W15 in Las Vegas, his teammate Sergio Perez had another horrendous quali outing. The Mexican driver was knocked out in the Q1 session at the street circuit.
Following the completion of the whole event, Perez admitted that he expected a difficult outting in qualifying.

The 34-year-old has sounded extremely dejected following his Q1 exit in the Las Vegas qualifying. Verstappen will be starting tomorrow’s race from fifth place whereas Perez will be stuck toward the south end of the grid.
The ongoing weekend is an extremely crucial one for Perez, especially considering his delicate position on the Red Bull team for 2025. To make matters worse for him, RB’s Yuki Tsunoda put his VCARB 01 into Q3. The Japanese driver is in with a strong shot at Perez’s 2025 seat along with his teammate Liam Lawson.
The sister team duo has performed better in comparison to Perez in the ongoing season. Keeping in view everything that has been discussed, the remaining races of the campaign could prove to be Perez’s last outings with the Austrian team.
