Ex-team boss claims it’s ‘incomprehensible’ how Sergio Perez was retained by Red Bull
While Verstappen is putting in the effort despite winning six races in a possible nine this year, former Le Mans team boss, Frans Verschuur has mercilessly bashed Sergio Perez. According to him, the Mexican should not have been given a 2-year contract extension by Red Bull.
Perez has been making his trade with the Milton-Keynes-based team since 2021.

The ongoing campaign is nine rounds down and Sergio Perez has so far amassed only 107 points in the Drivers Championship. Max Verstappen is leading from the front and considering this, it is high time for the 34-year-old to start putting in solid performances from Barcelona onwards. Otherwise, he could come under more scrutiny in the upcoming months.
