Red Bull was expected to dominate the remainder of the ground-effect era under Adrian Newey‘s intelligence. However, Newey’s exit could pose a difficulty to the constructor in F1. Milton Keynes’ dominant campaign meant that they were provided with reduced aero wind tunnel time. Upon this, Max Verstappen reckoned that the team needed to simply ‘deal with it.’

Max Verstappen is famous for his straightforward and cold attitude while talking about such topics on the grid. The Dutchman reckoned that the people were happy when they were chasing the leaders and had increased tunnel time. However, when the roles were reversed and those people were given less tunnel time, they believed it to be a problem.

When you're chasing, you're happy when it's like that, but when you're in the lead and you're caught up during the season, you look at it as if it's not what you want.
Max Verstappen said, as reported by it.motorsport.com.

Regardless, the rules and regulations for the chassis development were set in stone. Hence, there couldn’t be many changes to the rules just because of the whims of the fans. As a result, Verstappen claimed that the rules were written and everyone had already agreed to this as the people would have to ‘deal with it.’

But that's how the rules are written, everyone agrees and you just have to deal with it.

Max Verstappen claims British weekend was ‘fluctuating’ in terms of performance for Red Bull

Red Bull has started to struggle in terms of pace and performance mid-way through the 2024 season. Hence, the team implemented multiple upgrades in the chassis for the British GP. However, Verstappen still couldn’t score the race win after running just two seconds short of Lewis Hamilton.

Upon this, the Dutchman pointed out the issues Red Bull faced and the ‘fluctuations’ in terms of performance for the car.

The weekend was a bit fluctuating as regards testing some parts of the car and, of course, the weather didn't help. But on closer inspection, if we hadn't had damage to the floor, we would certainly have been fighting for pole, so that's a good thing.
Max Verstappen added.

Hence, Milton Keynes would have to continue to bring in more upgrades to the RB20 to increase the gap to the rivals. McLaren and Ferrari have already started to make their chassis faster than Milton Keynes. The 2024 season would be fascinating to witness how the Austrian constructor fares against the rival teams.
