Max Verstappen and Red Bull struggled in the 2024 season after a good start to the year. The Dutch driver had been winless since June. However, the 27-year-old finally emerged victorious again after taking the Sprint victory at the US GP. Nevertheless, the three-time world champion admitted that the team still had work to do.

Verstappen pointed out that Red Bull had a positive outing in Austin last weekend. Unfortunately, the promising improvements were not enough to win the Grand Prix. However, Max Verstappen emphasized that Milton Keynes was working to iron out issues before the Mexico GP.

We made some good steps in Austin and saw some promising improvements with the car, but it wasn’t quite enough for the Race. The Team are working hard to iron out these issues.

The reigning world champion highlighted that the US GP was a major step forward for the Austrian team. Additionally, Max Verstappen insisted that his Sprint victory boosted the morale of the Red Bull crew. As the Dutch driver extended his championship lead to 57 points against Lando Norris.

but ultimately it was a step forward in the right direction and to win the Sprint was a boost for the Team.

The 27-year-old pointed out that the Mexico GP will be the second race of the triple header this weekend. As such, Max Verstappen highlighted that his team must be able to retain the momentum from Austin and gain points for the championship. Presently, Red Bull leads Ferrari by just eight points in the teams’ standings.

We are heading into the second race of the triple header so it will be about keeping this momentum heading forwards and continuing to gain crucial points in the Championship.

Certainly, Verstappen and Red Bull have a positive approach to the Mexican GP. However, the reigning world champions will need to push to the limit to ensure that they continue to make gains against Norris. On the other hand, the Constructors’ title seems to be getting out of reach for Milton Keynes.
