Max Verstappen and Red Bull have not had the easiest of weekends in Mexico. The Dutch driver had a terrible start on Friday with limited running. However, Verstappen seems to be turning things around after taking second place in Qualifying.

After a horrendous stint on Friday, the three-time world champion showed promising pace in Qualifying. The 27-year-old admitted that Red Bull was stuck playing catch-up against its rivals on Saturday due to the lack of running in Free Practice. Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez was knocked out in Q1.

Yesterday I barely did any laps so we are playing catch up and FP3 wasn’t good.
