For the first time, Formula 1 has enjoyed an unofficial one-month autumn break mid-season. During this downtime, teams and drivers have spent quality time with their loved ones. Many took the opportunity to go on vacation, recharging before the season resumes.
With the race in Austin approaching, Max Verstappen has shared his vacation plans for the next break. He said he looks forward to some well-deserved relaxation after the season wraps up. With Formula 1 set to race in the USA for a while, many drivers and their loved ones enjoy traveling to familiar locations and taking road trips around the country.
However, Max Verstappen revealed that he’s already explored the U.S., having visited Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Death Valley. As a result, he’s not keen on roaming around and is instead excited about the possibility of visiting Australia, where he hopes to embark on a memorable road trip.
The 27-year-old opened up about a memorable road trip he took in the U.S. He appreciated exploring the iconic landmarks and vibrant cities in the country.
Mattia Binotto admits Max Verstappen is the strongest driver on the grid despite facing car issues
Former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto, now leading Audi F1, emphasized that Max Verstappen continues to be the top driver in Formula 1. When asked about Verstappen’s strengths, Binotto confidently stated that the Dutchman showcases his skills despite driving a less competitive car.
Binotto anticipates that the three-time world champion will successfully overcome Lando Norris‘s challenge and secure the driver’s title. However, he predicts Red Bull may struggle to reclaim the lead in the Constructors’ Championship.
Verstappen holds a 52-point lead over Norris with only six races left in the season. Although the Briton is the currently fastest driver on the grid and has the potential to win every race, Verstappen’s consistency means that even if he finishes second, Norris won’t be able to close the gap.
