Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet celebrated a special milestone by throwing a birthday party for the Dutchman’s mother. Sophie Kumpen would be turning 50 on the 30th of October, however, Piquet threw a pre-birthday celebration to spend time with family.
Max Verstappen’s mother, Sophie Kumpen, is a former racing driver who played a crucial role in his journey to becoming a racer. She always supported her son’s desire to try karting and shared a deep passion for the sport.
This support has clearly contributed to her son’s remarkable achievements over the last two years. As Kumpen approaches her 50th birthday, Kelly Piquet organized a pre-party to celebrate her and hosted a small gathering with her loved ones just like she celebrated Verstappen.
Piquet posted pictures from the party on her Instagram stories, showcasing a big illuminated “50” symbol decorated with balloons. She also shared a story featuring Kumpen with her grandchildren, Luka and Hailey. The model’s daughter, Penelope, was also present, celebrating the birthday. The party took place early because the Dutchman’s mother wanted to spend time with her loved ones before a busy week of races for Verstappen.
