Michael Schumacher is a legend of F1. However, his life has remained pretty private ever since his skiing accident in 2013. Only close relatives and trusted members have met the 55-year-old after the accident. On the other hand, a slim glimmer of hope has returned for F1 fans as rumors suggest that the German made his first public appearance at his daughter Gina Schumacher‘s wedding.

Gina Schumacher recently married Iain Bethke at a private event and only people from her inner circle were present at the wedding. Furthermore, reports surfaced on the internet that guests had to follow stringent rules for attending the wedding and had to hand in their smartphones to enter the family home in Mallorca.

However, the privacy of the event was for no ordinary reason, as according to rumors, Michael Schumacher was present at the wedding. Corinna Schumacher, the F1 champion’s wife, is understood to made the strict rules. She has earlier stated her wish to keep her husband’s life private after his skiing accident.

Subsequently, when asked about an update on the 55-year-old’s health a few months earlier, Todt shed some light on the German’s new life. The Frenchman claimed that Schumacher’s life had changed drastically.

Simply not the Michael he used to be. He is different, and is wonderfully guided by his wife and children who protect him. His life is different now, and I have the privilege of sharing moments with him. That’s all there is to say.

Jean Todt said, as quoted by Free Press Journal

Despite all uncertainty, Schumacher has been fighting to recover from the life-changing injuries. He has a prominent place in racing fans’ hearts for his sheer skill and authority over the racetrack and everyone hopes to see him make a full recovery in the future.
