Lewis Hamilton has joined Scuderia Ferrari for the 2025 F1 season. The 40-year-old will likely end his career at Maranello in a couple of years. Now, F1 presenter Naomi Schiff has expressed concerns over a sad ending to Hamilton’s long and illustrious time in the sport.

Schiff pointed out that Lewis Hamilton does not have a decade left in the sport. As such, his move to Ferrari opens the final chapter of his career. She emphasized that it would be unfortunate if the seven-time world champion bids farewell to the sport without fighting for race wins or getting his eighth world title.

He’s also not got a decade left in the sport. So it’d be sad to see Lewis do this last chapter of his career not the best possible way, not having the victories that he might want to have, not potentially even getting that eighth title that we all know that he deserves.

Lewis Hamilton’s move to the Scuderia has been the biggest topic of 2025. Experts even predict his arrival to bring in $125 million in additional revenue to Maranello. However, Hamilton will be more concerned about fighting for wins on-track.

Ferrari can bring back Lewis Hamilton’s confidence

Hamilton has struggled in the ground-effect era of Formula 1. The British driver was left frustrated last year. Naomi Schiff hoped that Lewis Hamilton will be able to unlock his full potential once again with the new team, new car, and new environment at Maranello. She highlighted that the F1 star could finally get back his confidence as well.

So at the end of the day, I hope for him, that will be the switch at Ferrari, where all of a sudden the new car, the new setup of the car, maybe unlocks what we know that he has in him. It might just be that confidence that comes back.

Naomi Schiff added

Certainly, the Briton is motivated to perform for the Prancing Horse. The 40-year-old will leave no stone unturned in an attempt to bring glory back to Maranello. However, it remains to be seen if Hamilton gets a car capable of fighting for the championship when the season kicks off in Melbourne.
