Mercedes dominated the 2020 Formula One season, although two middle teams, notably AlphaTauri, took advantage of the mistakes of others. The team’s victory at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza stunned the F1 world, and the winning vehicle will be on show at the upcoming Formula 1 Exhibition in Madrid.
Alpha Tauri won the Monza Grand Prix, sending shockwaves across the whole fan base. This race was nothing short of wild, and it definitely ranks as one of the season’s greatest. The race saw the tightest finish for the lead in 2020, with McLaren’s Carlos Sainz finishing just over four-tenths of a second behind the Frenchman, Pierre Gasly. The victory was emotional for both the team, which won on their home track for the first time in 12 years, and for driver Pierre Gasly, who had overcome various challenges during his career to reach that point.
Gasly’s win in Italy was the first of his F1 career and still ranks among his greatest achievements. He started tenth on the grid. With so many crashes and events throughout the race, the Italian team was lucky when Lewis Hamilton made a pitstop error, resulting in a penalty. The car responsible for the historic victory, the Honda-powered AT01, will be displayed in the exhibition’s Design Lab room for fans to admire.
“An incredible moment”: Gasly’s AT01 on display at the first-ever Madrid exhibition
Gasly’s maiden F1 victory came in Italy, and it remains one of his best triumphs. Gasly’s win was the first for a team other than Mercedes, Red Bull, or Ferrari at Monza since 2012. The car responsible for the historic triumph, the Honda-powered AT01, will be displayed for spectators to admire in the exhibition’s Design Lab section.
“There is nothing better than being called an F1 race winner,” Gasly said, expressing his joy at the occasion. “It was an incredible moment.” The car’s exhibition will likely mean a lot to Gasly, AlphaTauri, and fans, who will be able to see it up close and experience the team’s historic victory.
The Formula 1 Exhibition will be held at the IFEMA MADRID from March 24 to July 16, 2023, and it promises to be an incredible event for F1 fans. The exhibition is the first official Formula 1 Exhibition. It will combine cutting-edge technology, such as interactive displays, sculptures, and famous Grand Prix vehicles, to transport visitors through Formula 1 history. Unique videos and pictures, engineering and educational displays, and breathtaking sounds and visuals will all come together to offer an amazing experience for everybody.
The Formula 1 Exhibition will contain never-before-seen items and contributions from some of the sport’s most iconic teams, specialists, and personalities. This makes it a must-see for racing lovers, who will be able to view Gasly’s classic vehicle as well as much more.
