Press day was scheduled for Wednesday, three days ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix. On this day, drivers can be seen having fun, filming content for their teams’ social media accounts, attending press conferences, and—most importantly—interacting with fans.

This is a unique day for both drivers and fans. The ardent fans share pictures and videos of these moments as they reflect on the past. One can witness the driver’s camaraderie with competitors from other teams during these moments. Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly are one such pair. In and out of season, they both enjoy spending time together.

While fans are in awe of their friendship, this press day, Alpine took their chance to create meme-worthy content for their socials. As Alpine drivers were on the stage greeting the fans and having a blast, the two Ferrari drivers joined them.

As a custom, drivers always greet each other, but the two good friends, Leclerc and Gasly failed to do a proper handshake. Alpine decided to roast both of them on social media and posted a video, where just as Leclerc and Gasly fail to do a good handshake one can see “Wasted” being displayed. The season has just begun, and the competition for the best meme has started already.

Carlos Sainz receives a heartfelt message from Charles Leclerc.

As they begin their fourth season together, their friendship is getting stronger before Sainz is replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari in 2025. While talking to the press, Leclerc said,

We have a very special relationship. I mean, we are obviously friends outside the track as well. We are sharing good moments. We spend so much time. I mean, I see Carlos more than my own family because we’ve got 24 races now.

Fans are already gushing over such a heartfelt message. The duo still has 24 races together, and fans are hoping their equation will be the same as last season. The season has just started, and there will be more entertaining content from the prolific duo. Fans always look forward to the hilarious off-track content and mischief.
