“An excellent top speed”: Andreas Haupt makes his choice between Red Bull and Ferrari in Miami

Ferrari and Red Bull
The all-new 2022 season of Formula 1 has ushered in a million hopes of the Motorsport fans that their favourite teams will reign all over the Championship charts now. In the previous turbo-hybrid era of Formula 1, Mercedes was clearly dominant, but with the rule changes, their Mercedes W13 has failed to impress the F1 pundits and has cost both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell a few precious Championship points as well.
We are already four races into this new season of F1, and come this weekend, the Formula 1 tribe will be in Miami, for the first ever Miami Grand Prix in the history of this sport. With wide popularization of F1 in the US, the FIA have strived to include some more American circuits in the calendar apart from the usual Circuit of the Americas in Austin. This year, Miami will host its first Grand Prix, and it has already been announced that next year, the show will arrive at Las Vegas for a Grand Prix as well!

With the Miami GP coming up, fans are all excited to see how the race plays out as it is a new circuit for all the teams. The Miami International Autodrome Circuit has never hosted an F1 race before, so the teams are all going to be new and unaccustomed to it. Now, it is to be seen who adapts the best to such a new racing track and delivers the best performance of the weekend!
Will it be Red Bull or Ferrari that comes out on top in the Miami Grand Prix?

The Miami Grand Prix weekend is all set to begin on Friday, and there are speculations in all the forums of F1 fans about who will prove to be the best team in this new circuit. Now, Ferrari had established an early lead for themselves as Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz put up amazing performances in the Bahrain GP. The Scuderia took every advantage of their rival team Red Bull’s reliability issues, and scored precious Championship points to get the leading position in the Constructors’ Championship table.
But Red Bull has not started quietly as Ferrari took the lead in the opening race. They improved their RB-18, and got rid of the reliability issues. In the recent Italian Grand Prix at Imola, the team got a triple win–Verstappen got the pole position in Qualifying, then he got P1 in Sprint Race, and Red Bull finished the weekend with a 1-2 result for Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez respectively.
According to journalist Andreas Haupt at Auto, Motor und Sport, Red Bull might come up as the winner of this weekend. But Ferrari can also beat Christian Horner’s team. He said, “Because the RB18 has been good in the corners so far and has had an excellent top speed. But if Ferrari’s medium-low downforce package works, the Scuderia could also prevail again. Therefore, a prediction is hardly possible.”
Going into the Miami Grand Prix, current Championship leader Charles Leclerc of Ferrari and reigning F1 World Champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull–both have won two races each. Who will be able to add a third race win to their name in this season? That remains to be seen.
