Charles Leclerc is one of the most exciting talents in Formula 1. Many consider the Monegasque driver as a future world champion in Formula 1. However, luck has not been on Leclerc’s side at his home race in Monaco, often referred to as the ‘Monaco curse.’ The 25-year-old has only had two race finishes to his name at this circuit. It seems that one disappointed fan has written a book on the Ferrari driver’s unfortunate history at the Monaco GP.

Charles Leclerc has had an unfortunate string of races in the streets of Monte Carlo including in Formula 2. The 25-year-old started out from pole position but was forced to retire due to a suspension failure. In the following sprint race, Leclerc had to stop the car because of an electrical issue.

Things did not get better for the Monegasque driver despite making the jump to Formula 1. During the 2018 Monaco GP, the 25-year-old crashed his Sauber into Brendon Hartley’s Toro Rosso with just six laps remaining. Next season, Leclerc was racing for Ferrari when contact with Nico Hulkenberg resulted in a puncture. The team retired his car shortly after.

Leclerc clinched pole position at the 2021 Monaco GP but had to retire the car after the formation lap due to a damaged driveshaft that was not fixed after his crash in Qualifying. The Monegasque driver has finished the past two races in Monte Carlo but both have been filled with frustration due to poor strategy and lack of pace.

Thus, Charles Leclerc continues to have terrible luck at his home race. Perhaps this indeed serves as a lesson for children who read this special book on the Ferrari driver. Certainly, this book would create an interest in young minds about racing cars and educate them about tough lessons in life as well.
