The 2024 Formula One off-season witnessed the biggest driver move in the sports history. Mercedes’s seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton announced that would move to Scuderia Ferrari at the end of the season using the exit clause in his contract that was renewed just months ago. He joined the Prancing Horse in a multi-year deal that would make him the most paid F1 driver in the history.

Lewis Hamilton on many occasions while talking about the announcement pointed out that it was his childhood dream to race for the Scarlet Red’s. Now his father Anthony Hamilton has revealed that it wasn’t just his son’s dream but was also his dream as well. He claimed that driving for Ferrari is every child’s dream.

Driving for Ferrari was part of my dream and his dream. When you are a child, you always dream of racing for Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton is statistically the most successful driver in Formula 1, and Scuderia Ferrari is the most Successful constructor in Formula 1. The pairing looks to be a match set in heaven and the duo has a big goal set for them. Hamilton is seeking a record eighth world title while Ferrari is seeking their first championship since 2007.

Anthony Hamilton indirectly reply to Fernando Alonso’s comments about Lewis Hamilton’s move

Lewis Hamilton and two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso have always had a tricky relationship. From the pair’s squabbles during their time as teammates at Mclaren to their fights on track, they have had some infamous and iconic F1 moments over the years.

After Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari was announced, a lot of Formula 1 drivers were asked about their thoughts on the move. The Aston Martin driver had taken a sly dig at Hamilton’s claim that it was dream come true and remined him that last year he had different dreams. Hamilton’s father Anthony Hamilton had an indirect response to this statement made by Aston Martin driver, Fernando Alonso. 

We love all the teams in which Lewis raced, McLaren and Mercedes, but being driving the red car is the biggest dream.  I knew that. The point is that it’s his business and it was his decision.
Anthony Hamilton said.

This shows that Anthony Hamilton wanted to make it clear that Hamilton’s move to the Prancing Horse was a decision made entirely by the racer. He also confirmed the business interest Hamilton had in this move as well as at the end of the day Ferrari offered him a lucrative deal and opportunity to continue his personal projects.
