Lance Stroll has been one of the most criticized drivers at the pinnacle of motor racing this year. He has not been able to perform anywhere near the level of his former 2-time world champion teammate, Fernando Alonso, and for this very reason, he has come under immense pressure.
While several esteemed F1 personalities have bashed Lance Stroll, Aston Martin has admitted that the pressure is increasing on him to start performing. During the ongoing Mexico Grand Prix weekend, Stroll is again having mediocre outings behind the wheel of the AMR23.

Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack was asked recently about where things are with Stroll, and while talking about the same in detail, he told Lwos:
Stroll] got a beating from [the media] for three of four months. So it was very good that he got a good result and that the situation calmed down for the time being.
Looking at the comments, it is clear that Lance Stroll is feeling the heat to improve his performance at the Silverstone-based team.
Because the pressure is increasing internally, it’s also difficult for the team because every little mistake is looked at. And I’m glad that we came back a little bit for him, but also for the team – for everyone.
Lance Stroll needs to end 2023 on a strong note
While Lance Stroll has had a nightmare behind the wheel of the AMR23, every new Grand Prix weekend brings new opportunities. Including the ongoing Mexican GP weekend, Stroll still has four F1 events remaining where he can look to turn his fortunes around and try and score a few point-scoring finishes.

Stroll is starting the upcoming race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit from P17 on the grid, and his target for the event is going to be to make up as many positions as possible and try and squeeze into the Top10. However, it will not be easy, considering the cars he has around him.

Aston Martin has fallen backward on the grid since the last few races where they saw themselves get overtaken by McLaren in the 2023 Constructors Championship. Keeping in view Stroll’s woes and the team’s dip in form, it is safe to assume that the upcoming race is not going to prove too rewarding for them.
