With these important professionals on board, Aston Martin has moved ahead of half the field and is now comfortably second after Red Bull and ahead of Mercedes, its power unit suppliers.

Thanks to Fernando Alonso‘s four podiums, Aston Martin stands second in the pecking order in the standings and pace wise as well, and regarding this Fallows went on to state that he does not believe that any of the components received from Mercedes are limiting the team’s performance. “I think that would be true if we had a real dependence on them in areas that would limit our performance,” he said. “Honestly I don’t think that anything we get from Mercedes is limiting our performance.”
With Honda registered as an engine supplier for the 2026 season, there have been rumours about a potential partnership between Aston Martin and Honda three years from now, but Fallows remained evasive when asked about it. “I couldn’t really say to be honest,” he stated. “We have a power unit partner that we are very happy with at the moment. That is what we are working around, and we are very happy with that relationship.”
Dan Fallows’ recent statement indicates that Aston Martin is content with their partnership with Mercedes. With their hiring spree, Aston Martin has shown that they are focused on revamping their team and are making significant progress in the standings. Despite rumours about a potential partnership with Honda, Fallows stated that the team is happy with their current power unit partner. As work progresses on their new factory, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Aston Martin in the years to come.
