Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton are similar, but Max Verstappen can be their heir: Gerhard Berger

When it comes to being at the peak of Formula 1, very few drivers have managed to reach it. In the past, the driver acclaimed to be dominating at this very top by winning 3 world championships was the Brazilian, Ayrton Senna. In the modern days of the sport, the driver who has touched this peak 7 consecutive times is the British driver, Lewis Hamilton. The 2021 season of Formula 1 saw a shift in this trend with the Dutch driver, Max Verstappen claiming his maiden world championship title.

The former Ferrari driver, Gerhard Berger expressed his views on this by saying “Hamilton is very similar to Ayrton in the way he runs races, but also in the way he works politically and the way he directs the team. Senna had a charismatic personality that won the hearts of almost everyone. Ayrton and Lewis are similar and special. Their heir may be Max Verstappen, but Charles Leclerc can win many World Championships”.

You can definitely see Charles Leclerc is ripe to have a say in the title”.
