‘Binotto can stay, but not Rueda,’ Former Ferrari sporting director withholds Inaki Rueda as the only culprit for the Ferrari loss
Inaki Rueda and Cesare Fiorio
Former Ferrari sporting director, Cesare Fiorio, opens up about a disaster class Ferrari has been up to in the 2022 season. Ferrari managed to bring up F1-75 the fastest car on track right now. Being the fastest car brings you the perk to lead and win races ultimately the championship but Ferrari with its strategy team had some other plans. Cesare Fiorio expressed his disappointment towards his former team and asked for a shuffle in the workers.
Ferrari had been undercover after 2018, but they are up again with a flyer in the first three games. But things went downhill after touching their home soil at Imola. Ferrari has been suffering from engine reliability, strategy errors, drivers mistake and other sorts of damages a team would get rid of when fighting for the title. Ferrari’s major blows have been the strategy blunder ruining three races with a clear intuition of a victory.
Cesare Fiorio clears his mind to fire Inkai Rueda from the job of team strategist after all the damages he did to the team. He also keeps the drivers and the team boss on a safer side.
“Mattia was originally an engineer and he knows how to do that job very well, as evidenced by the creation of F1-75. In his staff, Binotto needs people who are better suited to the Ferrari culture. Binotto needs to stay in place, but [Inaki] Rueda does not. He has never positively influenced the different teams he has ever worked for,” said Cesare Fiorio.

Cesare Fiorio further explains the ruins of the Ferrari pit wall
Ferrari has the worse pit wall in the whole grid if not the worst after giving out points on regular basis. With clear views of what’s happening on the track, Ferrari strategists rely a lot upon the computer screens for their decisions. Former Ferrari sporting director withholds the Italian Team to make the necessary changes for much quicker and better decisions.
“In the race you often have only a few seconds in which to make a decision. Then you don’t have time to analyse dozens of models, manage computers and communicate remotely with the factory. Ferrari lacks the personal intuition,” said Fiorio.
Ferrari has lost 100 points to Red Bull on the days where a win was the only option. Hungary is the latest ruin from the team, giving out Charles Leclerc a hard compound to end his race after watching the miss hit on Alpines. They lost to Red Bull starting much further behind them on a weekend they were brought in as the favourites.
