Brazil Grand Prix 2022: The Interlagos Circuit adds thousands of new seats to accommodate the boom in ticket sales

The Brazilian Grand Prix (São Paulo Grand Prix)

As this year’s Formula 1 season is currently on its last leg with only five races left in the roster, it seems that the fans have not yet gotten enough of the Grands Prix as they have made sure that all the tickets to the Brazil GP are sold out a month before the race! The Interlagos Circuit, which houses the famous Brazil Grand Prix, is all-set to play host to the F1 paddocks which will travel to the South American country for the second weekend of November.

Although there is quite some time left for the Brazil Grand Prix to be back for another consecutive year after Lewis Hamilton‘s victory at the 2021 race in Interlagos, tickets are already gone for the first round, and the organizers have decided to add five thousand new seats to house the audience.
The added seats will be near turn 10 of the racetrack.

Besides the seating plans, there is also an option for the fans to visit the Brazilian Grand Prix and watch the race standing or sitting on the grass. In that case, the ticket prices are considerably lower–but still, they are, as fans have pointed out, more than the minimum wage in the country.

Brazil Grand Prix venue will add 5 thousand new seats to house more F1 fans

Brazilian Grand Prix

A Grand Prix is a massive affair, and it involves thousands of Formula 1 fans and many esteemed guest and dignitaries. And in case of the Brazil GP, the number of visitors is even more as it is one of the most famous races in South America, with a lot of history attached to it. Brazil has also seen many of its own racers become F1 legends, such as Ayrton Senna, Enzo Fittipaldi, Nelson Piquet, etc.

Thus, it goes without saying that motorsports is entwined with the Brazilian culture, and hence, it is no surprise that the Brazil Grand Prix will find a massive turnout this time. Now, it only remains to be seen if Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton maintains his winning streak in Brazil and scores his first race victory of this season in Interlagos, or if Max Verstappen prevents that from happening and cruises to victory and wins the Championship title for this year.
