Carlos Sainz crashes out of the Imola GP following a collision with Daniel Ricciardo
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz suffered a quick exit after the McLaren of Daniel Ricciardo collided with the Spaniard. The Aussie made a move on Sainz in the first lap of the race. The two went into the gravel but Ricciardo managed to keep his car going and managed to get away with minor bodywork damage.
Carlos unfortunately was stuck in the gravel and had to DNF for the 2nd race in running after the Australian GP. Sainz, bought out a safety car while Ricciardo’s move has come under investigation by the stewards.
Daniel Ricciardo mentioned on his team radio “I got pushed into Sainz.” Meanwhile, the Mercedes of George Russell made a ain’t leap from P11 to P6 within the first lap before the safety car was brought out.
Carlos Sainz started the Emilia Romagna GP on P4 after a brilliant recovery in the Sprint race after qualifying at P10. The Spaniard suffered a crash into the barriers in Rivazza after losing control over the kerbs and bringing out a Red Flag. he just extended his contract with Ferrari signing a deal that keeps him at the Scuderia till 2024.
