In Bahrain, Carlos Sainz finished third for Ferrari after failing to challenge Red Bull, who finished first and second. After the Bahrain Grand Prix kicked off the season, Sainz disclosed the extent of Red Bull’s tire degradation advantage over the competition. After Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez of Red Bull, who got the Milton Keynes team’s title defense off to a great start. Sainz finished in third place.
Red Bull gave both of its drivers the Soft compound for the race’s last lap, while the majority of its competitors chose to use another set of Hards. Tire degradation meant that as the race neared its end. Sainz received word on his team radio that the Hard compound would soon surpass the Soft in pace. Because of their ability to maintain pace in the tire, Sainz had acknowledged that it was unlikely that they would finish ahead of at least one. Red Bull, is saying the drop-off on the Softs was the same as the rest of the field on the Hards.
You need to consider that we've been testing here for three days and I've been seeing that Red Bull degradation on Soft [tyres] - it's exactly the same as ours on the Hards.Sainz said, as reported by RacingNews365
Sainz said that during the three practices, the Spaniard saw Red Bull’s degradation on tires less. Sainz then remarked that Red Bull’s soft tire degradation is similar to Ferrari’s hard tire degradation. But Sainz is one of the best drivers and will be eager to challenge if the pace of Ferrari gets better.
False accusations against Ferrari that they ignored Carlos Sainz’s podium celebrations in Bahrain
Even though it appeared from television footage that Carlos Sainz was alone. Many Ferrari employees were present to celebrate his podium finish in Bahrain. Sainz secured Ferrari’s first podium of the 2024 season at the Sakhir circuit, finishing third in his SF-24 behind his Red Bull teammates.

The Spaniard who started P4 finished P2. The Spaniard doesn’t think Ferrari intentionally tried to put him behind his teammate by pitting Leclerc first during the pit-stop strategy, which allowed Sainz to pass him twice. Eventually passing his teammate Charles Leclerc on lap 17. On lap 18 Sainz passed George Russell for P3 position. And then with no mistake holding that position till the end of the race.
But on various social media handles, it was being said that Ferrari did not look for Sainz podium celebration. But this problem arrived as the live camera didn’t capture Ferrari team members. During the photo shoot and other camera recordings, the Ferrari team members were there for the celebration.
