Carlos Sainz claims he’s going to ‘speed up’ contract talks to secure F1 future amidst Audi rumors
Carlos Sainz's F1 career was left uncertain after Ferrari decided to sign Lewis Hamilton for 2025.

Carlos Sainz will be replaced by Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari next season. The Spanish driver currently has no contract for 2025 and beyond. However, the 29-year-old has been rumored to be the prime target for Audi (currently Stake F1). Now, Sainz has given an update regarding his contract discussions in the paddock.
The Ferrari driver was asked about the number of teams he was in contact with for a seat. Carlos Sainz claimed that he has talked with a handful of outfits. The Spanish driver highlighted that it was crucial to discuss with multiple teams as his future remains uncertain.

Sainz claimed that it was a matter of narrowing down the options to find the most realistic and best seats available for the upcoming season. However, the 29-year-old stated that there was no news to share for the time being.

The Spaniard revealed his plans for further negotiations. Carlos Sainz claimed that he and his management team was going to speed up the entire process to make a discussion soon. This coincides with reports of Audi potentially giving Sainz a two-week ‘ultimatum’ to sign with the German manufacturer.

Carlos Sainz gives health update almost a month after appendicitis surgery
Sainz was forced to sit on the sidelines at the Saudi Arabian GP as the 29-year-old had to undergo a surgery for appendicitis. However, the Spanish driver managed to recover quickly before the next round of the season in Melbourne, where Carlos Sainz took an incredible victory for the Scuderia.
The Spaniard was asked if he was finally 100% fit almost a month after the surgery. Carlos Sainz claimed that he did feel completely fit. The Ferrari driver revealed that he stayed back in Australia after the race to hit the gym and even went cycling. However, Sainz admitted that he was not lifting the same weights as he used to for now.
Yeah, I think so... I stayed in Australia for a week and started going back to the gym. Still obviously not lifting heavy numbers like I used to do in the past, but at least I can get my training done and I'm feeling back to 100 per cent.Carlos Sainz concluded
Certainly, Carlos Sainz has managed to have a great recovery in the past month. The Spanish driver remains determined to prove himself to the F1 grid in a bid to seal his future on the grid. As such, fans would expect Sainz to fight for a race win this weekend.
