Charles Leclerc and the whole F1 paddock was shocked to hear that Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton were collaborating on a project. A new Formula 1 movie is in the making which revolves around a F1 driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a younger driver. The idea of the movie has received a great response but there are some concerns from the paddock’s perspective.

Dawn Apollo Films which has been set up by 7 time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton will have a production crew in the paddock. They will be filming a lot throughout the season as a part of the F1 movie which will star world famous actor Brad Pitt. The movie itself will be directed by Joseph Kosinski. He is the same man who was the mind behind “Top Gun Maverick”.

It has been revealed that some of the technology use to make the Top Gun Movies will also be used for this movie. Lewis Hamilton has been in direct contact with the whole team to make sure that every aspect of the movie is accurate. With another set of cameras being in the F1 paddock, some were worried about the distraction that it would cause Charles Leclerc didn’t seem to have the same reaction.

In an interview, here is what he had to say. When asked if the cameras in the paddock would cause a distraction, here is what Charles Leclerc replied with Leclerc replied: “No, I don’t think it is. In the end, one more camera or one less camera, I don’t think we realise it that much,” he said while defending Lewis Hamilton’s ambitious plans.

“I think it’s amazing for the sport, though, I think it’s great. It gives us a really big visibility, big reach to people that might not know or might not be interested so much into Formula 1 just for them to understand it in a better way, in a more lucrative way and with the movie I think is the best possible way. So no or at least for me, it won’t add any pressure, but I don’t think for anybody, as we are getting used to having cameras around,” he continued.

While there were reports suggesting that Brad Pitt will be driving an F1 car during an official session, it is not at all accurate. The Actor will drive a modified F2 of F3 spec car that is being closely built with Mercedes. While Lewis Hamilton provides all the necessary inputs, all parties are making sure that the movie will be factually accurate. The F1 fans will be in for a thrill when the movie releases.
