Lewis Hamilton will race for Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. The seven-time world champion will join Maranello on a massive multi-year deal. Hamilton will be partnering Charles Leclerc with the departure of Carlos Sainz. However, it seems that Leclerc is far from happy with the Scuderia’s decision.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Charles Leclerc was not thrilled to hear the news of Lewis Hamilton being his teammate in 2025. The Monegasque driver would have certainly become a hero for the Tifosi if he manages to outperform the seven-time world champion as his teammate. However, Leclerc would lose his image of the Ferrari star driver if Hamilton beat him in the championship.

Charles Leclerc was shocked and disappointed to see Ferrari sign the British driver to replace Sainz in 2025. Leclerc signed a massive new extension with the Scuderia just days before the announcement of Hamilton’s deal with Maranello. However, the 26-year-old could not have imagined his team to sign the Mercedes driver while he penned his new contract.

Hamilton is undoubtedly performing at a high level despite his winless stint. The 39-year-old remains as hungry as ever to win a record-breaking eighth F1 world title. As such, the Briton would be looking to get the most out of his car when he joins Ferrari next year.

Certainly, this could give fans a thrilling teammate rivalry in 2025. Both Hamilton and Leclerc would not hold back against one another on track. However, this might even force Ferrari to bring in controversial team orders.

It remains to be seen how Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton perform as teammates in 2025. The two drivers share a healthy relationship on and off the grid so far. Although, things could heat up quickly between the two when they join forces next year.
