The 2024 season will commence in just under a month. Hence as the teams prepare for the challenges in the upcoming season, Charles Leclerc signed a multi-year deal with Ferrari beyond 2024. The Monegasque finally highlighted his reasons to lock in with the Italian Constructor despite multiple options opening by 2025.
Charles Leclerc claimed that the reasons for his allegiance with Maranello were due to the ‘family-like’ bonds within the crew. Additionally, the Monegasque mentioned that Ferrari was the only constructor to believe in the driver even before he got into the sport. Hence, this was the primary reason for Leclerc’s loyalty to the Italian constructor.
I think not only because it feels like a family, but most of all, because they were the first people to believe in me straight from even before I got to Formula 1. They gave me the opportunity to get into Formula 1Leclerc told racingnews365.com.

Apart from this, Leclerc highlighted that Ferrari facilitated the driver to score his first-ever win and pole position within the sport. Additionally, the Monegasque mentioned that he believed in the entire project that Maranello showcased within the sport. Hence, this was the main reason behind the 26-year-old’s multi-year contract with the team ahead of the 2024 season.
They gave me the opportunity of being a Ferrari driver, and getting a car that was good enough to get my first pole position and my first win. But more than anything, I think what made me sign for a longer contract is because I believe in the project. Otherwise, I wouldn't have done that.
Charles Leclerc will race alongside Lewis Hamilton from 2025
Another latest news surrounding the Italian constructor is related to the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The Briton shockingly switched to Maranello from 2025 onwards. As a result, Leclerc will race alongside one of the F1’s greatest from the 2025 season and hopefully deliver great results for Maranello. Regardless, the driver looks hopeful of better results in the coming season.

The two drivers are great in their respective elements and would complement each other well within the team. Maranello needs to desperately work on minimizing mistakes during a race and consistent pit stops to effectively provide the drivers with a shot at the championship. Ferrari is capable of scoring title wins for the drivers and hence would need to facilitate the team according to the seven-time world champion.
Hence, Carlos Sainz would be ousted from the team following the Briton’s entry. Hence, Sainz aims at scoring a great season for his ultimate year at Ferrari. The Spaniard would try his level best to perform on par if not better results than Leclerc to facilitate his chances at other teams on the grid. As of now, the drivers’ market will significantly open up in 2025.
