After a fierce battle with Ferrari in Monza, Red Bull has again secured a victory, with Max Verstappen breaking Sebastian Vettel’s record for most consecutive wins in F1 history. Already having secured 14 out of 14 wins this season, Red Bull boss Christian Horner talked about the possibility of making it a perfect run as there are just eight races remaining this season.
Horner claimed that the team focuses on winning one race at a time rather than becoming too ambitious and going for the perfect run. He said that they are already focusing on Singapore, and with such challenging circuits remaining on the calendar, Horner believes anything can happen and is not letting their current success get to his head.
“We look at it race by race. Singapore is a street circuit and it can rain there. It is one of the most difficult challenges on the calendar. There are still many challenges ahead until the end of the season,” Horner told Sky Sports (H&T: Motorsports.com)
Red Bull extended their lead in the Constructors’ championship to a staggering 310 points above the second-place Mercedes. With Verstappen dishing out constant victories for them, the only competition currently remaining in F1 is who will take the second spot in both the championships.

Christian Horner explains Red Bull’s tactics against Ferrari in Monza
Although Red Bull secured their expected victory today in Monza, Ferrari surprisingly showed some excellent race pace. Keeping Verstappen behind for 14 laps, Carlos Sainz led the race for the longest duration this season apart from Red Bull. Red Bull chief Christian Horner talked about this sudden change and how they planned on handling it.
Horner said that Ferrari’s practice session runs had already shown they were in a very solid position. Also, Monza being their home race, it was expected that both the drivers would be way more aggressive than usual. Ferrari had also added new engines to both of their cars, due to which Horner had already anticipated that they would display much better speed.
“Max could see after four or five laps that Carlos was moving back and forth with his rear tires. He knew that they were vulnerable there… Maybe they let him [Sainz] run a little faster because it is Monza. They were really fast on the straights, even with DRS they pulled away,” said Horner.
