Max Verstappen misses out on Champion of Champions honour after 2023 campaign
Max Verstappen managed to break numerous records in a campaign that is now the most dominant in the history of the sport. This performance has earned the Dutchman numerous awards, accolades, and titles from all across the world.
One honor Verstappen missed out on, however, is the title of Champion of Champions. The Champion of Champions award is given to the athlete who is voted as most dominant, a vote held by L’Equipe.The 2023 edition was won by Novak Djokovic, who won the US, Australian, and French Open tournaments to win the honor.
Right behind is French Swimmer Leon Marchand, an esteemed athlete in his home country and recognized internationally. Though Verstappen did not manage to achieve the title, three Formula 1 drivers have in the past.
