The 2023 F1 season returns for the second leg at the upcoming Dutch GP. While the hype around the event has already started to build, the organizers of the race at the Zandvoort circuit have made it clear that they will not tolerate any kind of inappropriate behavior by fans toward Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari supporters.
During last year’s Dutch GP, there were instances where Max Verstappen fans were seen giving a hard time to the supporters of Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes. All the negative publicity had a big impact on the three-day race weekend, and thus, the organizers are determined to stop that from happening this time around.
While talking about the same, the organizers told Soymotor, “The first year we only had Dutch people due to COVID-19, so it started like that. But I would be really disappointed in our fans if, as a Ferrari or Lewis Hamilton fan, you didn’t feel safe. That’s totally unacceptable, and we won’t let it happen. We can’t stand for it and we’ll take people’s tickets if it happens.”
“They should feel welcome. We need drivers to compete, otherwise, there would be no race. If we only had Max racing, it wouldn’t be Formula 1! Together with Formula 1, our security manager and the people involved from our team, there have been meetings with Austria, Belgium, and Barcelona, places where a lot of Dutch fans go . It’s good to celebrate and have a party, but it’s not good to intimidate to people or behave in a disrespectful way,” he added.

Max Verstappen would look to continue his winning run at the Dutch GP
While the organizers of the Dutch GP have promised to take strict actions against misbehaving fans, Max Verstappen’s sole target will be to score a race victory in front of his home fans. He is currently on an eight-race win streak, and if he manages to get a ninth straight victory, he will equal Sebastian Vettel‘s long-standing F1 record.
The German legend won nine consecutive races during his Red Bull era, and the 25-year-old is also on the verge of doing the same with the Milton-Kenes-based Red Bull team. He has bashed his competition so far in the season, and he would do everything in his power to replicate his form from the first leg of the ongoing campaign.
Formula 1 is returning on the 25th of August, and considering everything that has been discussed above, it is going to be fascinating to see how the three-day event will pan out. The media will have one of its eyes on the sensational exploits of Max Verstappen and the other on the antics of the Verstappen’s fans at the circuit.
