The United States GP did not hold back at all, when it came to opening lap incidents, trackside drama, crashes, and even penalties. While almost a year has passed since Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton‘s massive showdown at the Abu Dhabi for the 2021 World Championship, fans enjoyed a deja vu moments as the two racing greats went for it once again as Verstappen came creeping behind Hamilton, and finally surpassed him to clinch the top spot in the grid.

Kudos to the United States GP for keeping the excitement taut till the very end of the race. While fans thought no more surprises could be waiting for them after Max took the lead of the race and Sebastian Vettel fell down to P13 from running P1 because of a poor pitstop, they were astonished to find American billionaire Tim Cook waving the flag at the finishing line.

The tech moghul was invited as the Guest of Honour for the Main Race at the Circuit of the Americas. While he waved the chequered flag to denote the end of the race, the Twitterati noted his demeanor and quickly posted about how “uninterested” Tim Cook looked!

Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared at the United States GP on Sunday evening and took his spot at the finishing line to wave the chequered flag. Before the race had begun, he was also spotted out and about in the F1 paddocks, chatting with various team members, along with Brad Pitt, who was present to watch the race as a part of the preparation for his role in his all-new F1 movie that is going to be co-produced by Lewis Hamilton.

While waving the chequered flag at an F1 Grand Prix is considered a huge honor, the fans could not help noticing how out-of-element Tim Cook looked while doing it. And then, they blasted their comments on the 61-year-old by posting their criticisms on Twitter–

In other news, to all the Fernando Alonso fans’ despair, the Spaniard was handed a whopping thirty-second penalty for continuing to drive with a loose mirror piece on his car. This caused the Alpine racer to drop out of the points and into the P15 spot while Sebastian Vettel was moved up one place, into P7.
