The on-track action in the world of F1 has come to a halt after the end of the 2023 campaign. But the off-track fireworks are still in full swing as the former F1 team owner, Eddie Jordan has claimed that multi-billionaire, Lawrence Stroll confronted him during the campaign when he put shade on his son, Lance Stroll.

The Canadian Aston Martin F1 driver was under immense pressure for most of the 2023 F1 season. He had criticism coming his way from all angles and was really in a tough spot. Moreover, during the Qatar GP weekend, things went over the boiling point as he was seen shoving his trainer.

I remember having one of the few rucks that I’ve had, I remember Lawrence Stroll coming to me to say, ‘Why did you say?' I was working with you [David Coulthard] and Mark [Webber] on Channel 4, I think I said would Lance Stroll get a drive without his father’s help or influence and he wasn’t happy about that. ’ll now come back to that and I’ll say that I think he does warrant and justify his position in Formula 1.

Lance Stroll made a strong recovery during the last few races of 2023

While Eddie Jordan has made it known that he’s had a verbal tussle with Lawrence regarding Lance’s F1 position, the young Canadian did a good job of salvaging his 2023 campaign during the final few races. Stroll managed two P5 finishes during the Brazilian and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Stroll will be in the cockpit of Aston Martin’s 2024 car and he will most definitely take some confidence into the season from his final few 2023 F1 races. Moreover, he has had the opportunity this year, to learn a lot of things from his former 2-time F1 world champion teammate, Fernando Alonso.

If Lance Stroll can perform somewhere near the level of Alonso next year, it will bode well for his F1 prospects and would also help Aston Martin in achieving its targets. 2024 is an extremely pivotal campaign as far as the chances of Lance Stroll elongating his F1 career are concerned.
