Several reports have claimed the rage that several Vegas residents have been feeling ahead of the much-awaited Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The highlight event of the 2023 season, The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix has stirred mixed sentiments among local residents who have expressed unease about the city’s preparations ahead of the highly anticipated race weekend. Despite earning its status as the most awaited event on the 2023 calendar, concerns have surfaced regarding the extensive construction required for the race, which includes construction of a permanent pit and paddock complex along with severe road resurfacing.

The city has witnessed substantial transformations, over the span of nine months, ahead of the Grand Prix and has left the residents enraged. Several residents have come forth to voice their discomfort regarding the reduced traffic flow, narrowed walkways, and a permanent impact on their city’s infrastructure. 

Life as I knew it ended when that construction started." Another said, "The frustration, inconvenience and blatant disdain for residents living in Las Vegas is evident by the lack of information and coordination with everyone except the promoters of this exhibition.

Another such resident pointed out how the people’s annoyance at the sport will continue long after the inaugural weekend is wrapped up if Formula 1 fails to facilitate a considerable increase in revenue for the ‘Sin City’.

Daniel Ricciardo, the Australian star of Formula 1, was featured as a guest on the renowned late-night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! During the show, Ricciardo delved into various aspects of being an F1 driver, touching on the unique Vegas Strip street circuit as Kimmel appeared at his hilarious best.

As the discussion unfolded about the closure of the famous Vegas Strip for the racetrack, Jimmy Kimmel playfully advised Ricciardo to be vigilant, joking about encountering several Vegas residents, including drunk pedestrians and even strippers. 

You gotta be careful though because you know, there are people with like Margaritas and uh, Daquiries that are like four and a half feet tall, you could easily run somebody over.vYou don’t want to hit a stripper!

Daniel Ricciardo’s appearance on the show underscores the substantial increase in F1 viewership in the United States, attributed in part to the Netflix Documentary series, ‘Drive to Survive.’ Ricciardo’s invitation on the famous show reflects the driver’s excitement for the race as he had previously confessed his desire of racing a Formula 1 car in the famous ‘Sin City’ during a press conference in 2017.
