The Goliath of 2023 was slain at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore. The Red Bulls had a dismal outing as they were bested by both Ferrari and Mercedes [and even Lando’s McLaren]. Toto and Fred were spotted embracing each other after the Singapore Grand Prix and the fans loved it so much that the internet was filled with comments on their wholesome gesture.
Ferrari emerged as the strongest team all weekend. The Maranello monsters topped the Friday practice sessions, won Pole on Saturday, and stood on the tallest step of the podium on a stunning Sunday. Mercedes looked strong and even had the best chance of winning the race, but walked away with just one podium [for Lewis Hamilton] and a DNF [for George Russell].
Toto Wolff commented on the ‘risky’ approach they employed at the closing stages of the Grand Prix. He also elaborated how their risk did not pay off for Russell, “It’s great that Lewis is on the podium, and it’s a shame for George, he worked hard for it. But today we lost 20 points to Ferrari. It could have been a good 3rd and 4th place. It’s a shame because Russell deserved a podium.”

Fans React at the Toto Wolff and Frederic Vasseur bromance
Fans celebrated the Singapore Grand Prix with galore. They seem to have enjoyed Red Bull’s dominant win streak being broken. The Grand Prix was thrilling, and despite it being at Singapore, a street circuit notorious for making overtaking much harder, the strategic team battles were on show for the fans.

Despite losing out on the win, Wolff celebrated with Ferrari’s team boss Fred Vasseur. Fans were elated as some pointed out how hard it is for anyone to be mad at the Prancing Horse’s victory. Others asked if the duo was celebrating a win or rather the defeat of a certain dominating team.
Fans also pointed out how Vasseur and Wolff have known each other for years and Fred was the one who introduced a young Toto to Mercedes.
