Right from its debut in the Formula One calendar last season, Miami GP has proven to be a massive attraction for fans and celebrities alike. Even before the weekend kicked off, Fast X stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez had made a surprise appearance to promote their film. Then, Maria Sharapova was spotted at the Miami International Autodrome for the ‘F1 Accelerate Summit’. Now, the Mercedes Twitter admins revealed photos of Lewis Hamilton playing host to famed rapper A$ap Rocky.
A$ap Rocky is most famous for his girlfriend, Rihanna, with whom he has a child who was born last year in May. A few months ago, the pop sensation confirmed she is pregnant for the second time, and she even made a majestic appearance at the recently-held Met Gala with A$ap Rocky as her date. Now, fans remember that Lewis Hamilton had a rumored fling with Rihanna many years ago, when the two were spotted in Barbados at a part on the Kadooment Day.
Seeing Rihanna’s present partner and her former fling in the same picture has raised some eyebrows amongst the F1 community. And some fans also raised the issue that A$ap Rocky was previously involved in a legal case where he was sent behind the bars for days. Thus, they said Mercedes should not have invited an “ex-convict” to their garage, reckoning that it is bad publicity for the German team.

Fans wanted Rihanna to be present at the Miami GP with A$ap Rocky to meet Lewis Hamilton
As soon as Mercedes dropped pictures of Lewis Hamilton playing host to A$ap Rocky, the comment section exploded with fans asking where Rihanna was. Only a few days ago, the Barbados singer and her partner were at the Met Gala in New York City, but only A$ap Rocky was there for attending the Miami Grand Prix at the invitation of the Mercedes F1 team.

The Miami GP might be the first time Mercedes gets their hands on a Grand Prix victory this season. In the Free Practice sessions on Friday, both Silver Arrow racers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have shown good pace. In the FP1 session, Hamilton scored a P2 finish while his younger teammate snatched the first spot. Now it remains to be seen if the Merc drivers can continue this performance for the rest of the weekend so their squad surpasses Aston Martin in the rankings and enters the top 3 spots.
