Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes F1 driver, has shaken the world of motorsports with his grand 2025 move to the iconic Ferrari outfit. Some time has elapsed since the announcement, but with testing just around the corner, Moto GP rider, Fabio Quartararo has made it known that he had caught wind of Hamilton’s move days before it was made public.

Fabio Quartararo was in Maranello a couple of days before the announcement and it was during that time, that Enzo Ferrari’s son, Piero Ferrari, insinuated the move to him. However, at that moment, he was perplexed as he didn’t know how to take in the shocking news.

While shedding light on the same in an interview with Autosport, he said,

It was strange, because I was visiting Maranello a couple of days before the announcement and Piero Ferrari suggested it to me. But at that moment I didn’t know how to interpret it, I didn’t get it. I didn’t fall for it until it became official.

The Moto GP rider with his reaction has made it quite clear that he had indirectly caught wind of the 39-year-old’s 2025 Ferrari move. However, he has also indicated that at that time, his conscience would just not allow him to accept it until it was made public.
