“Showbiz fiasco” – Fans call out Gordon Ramsay, Rod Stewart and Brad Pitt’s appearances at Las Vegas GP as they make it less of a race and more of an entertainment gimmick
The fans have spoken strictly against the F1's practice of having several celebrities at the Las Vegas GP since they wanted to see 'real racing' only.

The proceedings for the Las Vegas Grand Prix are already underway as the Qualifying took place at almost midnight on Friday. The event, as expected, saw a massive turnout of some high profile celebrities. But since the mismanagement of the Vegas race has already been a point of scrutiny amongst the fans on social media, they are not happy that the FIA are trying to put a bandage on all the wrongs they have done by asking their media friends to post more pictures of the celebrities attending the Grand Prix.
Hollywood A-lister and Oscar winner Brad Pitt has been spotted at numerous races this season owing to the ongoing shoot of his F1-based movie that has Lewis Hamilton as one of its producers. The ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ actor was present at the Las Vegas GP paddock too. Joining him were Michelin-star Chef Gordon Ramsay and Rod Stewart. Ramsay’s attendance does not come off as a surprise since his own restaurant, Hell’s Kitchen at Caesar’s Palace, is only a few feet away from the race circuit.
Iconic singer Rod Stewart and Gordon Ramsay were at the Red Bull garage rooting for the reigning Champion Max Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Perez. Besides Pitt, Ramsay and Stewart, other famous faces spotted out and about the Las Vegas paddock include Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, model Paris Hilton, and Wrexham Football Club co-owner Rob McElhenney. Actor Patrick Dempsey, who plays a key role in the recently released movie Ferrari, gave out the pole position award to Charles Leclerc. But instead of being bedazzled by so many stars, the fans felt they were rather unnecessary as they only want to see the ‘real racing’.
Fans call out F1 claiming that everything wrong with the series is because they are obsessed with ‘stars’
Formula 1 had been wanting to make a mark in the United States market for a long time. And the FIA hatched a masterplan to do that by organizing the biggest race in F1 history in Las Vegas which cost their parent company Liberty Media an eye-watering amount of $500 million. But the fans believe it was rather unnecessary for the organizers to have marketed the Las Vegas GP as an entertainment extravaganza when all they want to see is a conventional Grand Prix like the old times.

Here is what the fans have to say about F1’s latest addition to their roster:
In other news, the Las Vegas GP has already given birth to a number of controversies. These include the incident surrounding Carlos Sainz who succumbed to an error made by the organizers as they forgot to direct the road constructors to weld the covers of the manholes shut. Sainz crashed into one of the metallic covers causing huge damage to the floor of his Ferrari SF-23. It remains to be seen how the Spaniard bounces back from the early setback to finish the Las Vegas GP on a high note.
