The ‘Silly Season’ of 2024 has started even before the commencement of the 2024 F1 season. As the grid prepares for the challenges in the upcoming season, fans spotted Lewis Hamilton‘s Mercedes race engineer Bono alongside Red Bull principal Christian Horner. Hence, the fans also had hilarious reactions to this unusual situation.

It must be noted that Bono was present alongside Horner before the news of Hamilton’s shocking switch to Ferrari came to light. The Mercedes race engineer was surprised by Hamilton’s decision. Bonnington’s partner is believed to be part of Red Bull Racing. Hence, one can assume that the two potentially share a great bond. Subsequently, Horner and Bono might even discuss the latter’s future in the sport. Fans recalled this exact situation of the Briton as multiple talks are being held about Bono’s job situation from 2025 onwards. One such comment called out Bono and mentioned that he was ‘better than this’ and needed to stay with Hamilton. Another fan highlighted the ‘plot-twist’ of Bono leaving Mercedes altogether and joining Red Bull after 2024.
