Valtteri Bottas has been enjoying the winter break. After a mediocre F1 season, Bottas deserved a calm few weeks before heading back to the hectic life of an F1 driver. As such, Valtteri spent a couple of weeks down under in Australia, embracing his inner Aussie side. And now, the Finnish driver decided to take a quick detour to the neighboring island nation of New Zealand.

As Valtteri Bottas got to the country, the 33-year-old proceeded to hang out with some of the top talents in the country. Shane Van Gisbergen, a Supercars Championship veteran, posted a story on Instagram, showcasing Valtteri and the others enjoying a bright summer day. All the drivers seemed delighted as they caught up with one another.

It was a star-studded meet of some of the best drivers in their respective categories such as Jake Pascoe and Andrew Waite. Ben Dallas and Scott Pye also joined in the fun along with Richie Stanaway rounding up the attendees. Certainly an impressive line-up of drivers, which would garner interest from several racing teams. Bottas has been happier since leaving Mercedes.

Certainly, Valtteri Bottas has been having a blast in recent weeks. This gathering is just an indication of how Bottas has finally been able to relax and unwind. Kiwi drivers in turn share a mutual respect for Valtteri. It is always great to see drivers hang out together on their own and spend some time with other people with a similar passion for racing. We hope that this bond between these drivers only grows stronger with time.
