The Japanese driver has pressure on his shoulders to step up his game against his new teammate, Nyck de Vries. De Vries will make his highly-anticipated F1 debut this season. Nyck certainly has an impressive CV as a former F2 champion as well as a Formula E world champion.
Although, this exciting pair decided to have some fun before the start of the F1 season. Nyck de Vries and Yuki Tsunoda were spotted in New York City today as the two watched an NBA game. The Alpha Tauri drivers went to attend the showdown between Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets. Both Nyck and Yuki were dressed up for the occasion in typical New York style as well.
Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries were shown on the coverage as “Red Bull F1 drivers.” One might get confused by this statement as Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez actually race for the Red Bull Racing team. However, Tsunoda and de Vries are contracted by Red Bull itself and are considered to be Red Bull athletes. Although new fans of F1 or even the viewers of this game must have been confused to some extent.

Consequently, another fan mentioned how this pair went on a date in Brooklyn, a city Nyck de Vries is familiar with.
