Max Verstappen might be the ruthlessly competitive three-time Formula 1 World Champion on the racetrack, but off of it, he is just a loving father figure for his girlfriend Kelly Piquet’s daughter Penelope. As per the Brazilian model who has also starred on the cover of Vogue Netherlands, Max and Kelly started dating sometime in 2020. As they still going strong, the Dutchman has formed a special bond with Kelly’s daughter Penelope Kvyat. Penelope is the child of Kelly and her former partner Daniil Kvyat, an ex-Red Bull racer who competed in the 2023 World Endurance Championship.
Russian racer Daniil Kvyat dated Kelly Piquet in January of 2017. They were rumored to be engaged when Kelly announced her pregnancy in the following year. In July, 2019, Kelly gave birth to Penelope and she called it quits with Daniil in the same year. Penelope now stays with her mother and Kelly’s current boyfriend Max Verstappen. The three of them recently went on a tour to Switzerland during the F1 off-season. Only a few days ago, Kelly shared a picture of her and her daughter taking the flight back home since she has modeling assignments to cover.
Kelly Piquet is currently in Paris for the Fashion Week where she was invited as a haute couture ambassador for Elie Saab’s show. Thus, Penelope is at home with Max Verstappen, who is busy streaming his Formula 1 video gameplay sessions on Twitch to get rid of the boredom of not being able to take part in any real-life racing. And during one of his streams, Max got a jumpscare as Penelope crept up to him and booed at his face while the Dutchman was intently focused on his game. The clip was subsequently shared on social media and fans gushed all over it.

As Penelope’s jumpscare video went viral on social media, fans poured in with their comments about her relationship with her mother’s boyfriend. Prior to this, Max has addressed the question of how Penelope views him, and he said that he does not wish to replace her father at all. But from their interactions, it is quite certain that Kelly’s daughter and her boyfriend are quite fond of each, and Max is even a father figure for Penelope.

In other news, Max Verstappen’s former trainer Bradley Scanes recently made the headlines as he confirmed the F1 World Champion is a very sore loser. Scanes recounted the time when he beat Max at the FIFA video game and the Dutchman did not take the defeat well. Scanes has also claimed that before joining Red Bull to work with Max, he had no idea who he was and he only knew Lewis Hamilton in all of Formula 1.
