WATCH: “Why do they hate him so much” – Fans shocked as soon-to-be axed Carlos Sainz gets GHOSTED by Ferrari despite securing a podium at Bahrain GP
Carlos Sainz's podium finish at the Bahrain GP was not met with grand reception by the Ferrari crew in Parc Ferme.

The Bahrain GP was highly positive for Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz along with a decent weekend for Charles Leclerc. The two held a P3 and P4 finish respectively as Sainz drove extraordinarily well against his teammate. These are the results that the Spaniard needs down the season to prove his racing mettle to other teams on the grid. The 29-year-old will soon be ousted from Ferrari and replaced by Lewis Hamilton as the Briton will join Ferrari in 2025.
Carlos Sainz scored a podium finish in the race and outperformed Leclerc after a risky move. Leclerc had multiple issues down the race and locked up his brakes on multiple occasions. Hence, this further eased Sainz’s chances against his teammate. However, catching up to Sergio Perez in the second was difficult for the Spaniard due to Red Bull’s dominating pace from the RB20.
Hence, after the podium finish, Sainz got down from his car at the pit lane. However, in a shocking turn of events, the Ferrari crew was absent near the pit. The team wasn’t celebrating Sainz’s amazing P3 finish at the Bahrain GP. The entire crew had better things to do rather than celebrate their driver’s final year on the team. This incident was similar to what Lewis Hamilton faced in the Singapore GP in 2023, where the Briton’s team was absent despite a P3 finish from him.

Fans disappointed with Ferrari crew’s absence at Carlos Sainz’s podium finish
In a recent tweet on X, multiple fans showcased their disappointment with the entire event. One fan recalled how Ferrari ‘fired’ Carlos Sainz and it was the ‘wrong driver’. Another fan claimed that they hated the entire ordeal of Sainz being ghosted by the team. Additionally, one fan mentioned how the Spaniard could move to Audi and commented how ‘Audi can’t come quick enough’.
Multiple fans added how the entire situation was extremely sad not only for the driver but the team as a whole, not to support their own driver. Another fan mentioned that Sainz deserved much better than what he was offered at Ferrari and needed to switch teams quickly. Additionally, one fan added that the team did not ‘deserve’ a driver like Carlos Sainz if they were going to ghost him like this continuously.
Ferrari don't deserve him man

Reminds me of Singapore with Lewis. Really not a great look for Ferrari, Carlito was exceptional today. Great pace, great manoeuvres and good start to season. Definitely driver of the day.

Is there an official reason or was it just them ghosting carlos
— MoonlitValentine (@ShadowMonarch30) March 2, 2024
in the first race, it's going to be a long year for Carlito Sainz

I thought I didn’t see the team on the pit wall celebrating as well

However, regardless of Ferrari’s lack of enthusiasm over Sainz’s podium, the driver is showcasing great pace and performance. The Spaniard would potentially follow this trajectory and outshine his teammate Charles Leclerc. The 29-year-old is yet to lock in his team for the coming season and hence needs to do it as soon as possible. However, the team alongside Sainz is looking ahead to the coming race weekend in Saudi Arabia.
