Sebastian Vettel retired from Formula 1 in 2022. Vettel is often regarded among the all-time greats in F1. As Sebastian won four back-to-back world championships with Red Bull Racing. Although, Seb failed to win a fifth title throughout the latter half of his career including his stint at Scuderia Ferrari. Thus, when the German announced his retirement, millions of fans were left heartbroken.

However, fans will finally see Sebastian Vettel back on track. Vettel will be taking part in the 2023 Race of Champions alongside fellow German, Mick Schumacher. Consequently, the official Race of Champions Twitter handle tweeted a picture of Sebastian as he prepares to hit the track running. The tweet said, “Pretty sure we recognise this guy from somewhere. Any ideas @F1?”

Of course, Sebastian Vettel is no stranger to the Race of Champions. Previously, Vettel has won multiple iterations of this event for Germany partnering up with Michael as well as Mick Schumacher. Seb even won the 2017 RoC event single-handedly after his teammate Pascal Wehrlein was forced to quit after sustaining an injury. Hence, millions of fans are confident that Vettel will once again win the Race of Champions for his home country this year.

One user replied with a picture that said, “The Return of the King.” A reference to the iconic meme from a Lord of the Rings film. Correspondingly, another fan thanked the RoC account for posting this image. The fan commented, “My serotonin just got boosted thanks!” Certainly, Sebastian Vettel‘s return rejoiced many fans. Although, it might be interesting to see Vettel take a shot at Rallying sometime in the future.

On the other hand, a few fans stated Sebastian Vettel’s stunning ability to do a lot of different tasks. One fan said, “That’s the local carpenter! he might also be into beekeeping, pls ask him.” A nod to Vettel’s beekeeping and bee-hive-making skills. Additionally, another user wrote, “I’ve been waiting for this since November last year!” Definitely that user is not alone. However, fans would hope Seb does not lose out to an E-sports driver this time around.

All in all, fans have highly anticipated Sebastian Vettel’s participation in the Race of Champions. The four-time champion makes a return to racing after the end of the 2022 F1 season. Undoubtedly, Vettel will be up to speed with his rivals at the event as he aims to win with teammate Mick Schumacher.
