It has been over a month since the Christian Horner-Red Bull saga commenced. However, the Red Bull GmbH had exonerated the Brit in a controversial verdict. Following this, the female employee, who accused Horner was suspended and has now decided to appeal against this action.
Christian Horner was deemed acquittal, which resulted in the suspension of the plaintiff in the case. Following the demands for more transparency were made in the paddock, and even FIA was involved at one point. However, the employee felt that her allegations were brushed aside and was unsatisfied with how the case was handled.
According to The Telegraph, the female employee has lost confidence in the company and feels she’s been treated unfairly. Moreover, the employee has hired a new lawyer, which would be essential in helping her express her side in the saga. On the contrary, this new appeal can take a few weeks to months to be resolved, so shenanigans at the Austrian giant would not stop for a while longer.
Christian Horner claims his prowess in Red Bull
The onset of the 2024 season has been overshadowed by the drama ongoing at Red Bull. Subsequently, this has raised questions about whether the Englishman would stay as the team principal at Milton Keynes. Further on, this has led to questions being raised about whether the team’s star driver Max Verstappen, and consultant, Helmut Marko have shown their interest in leaving amid the tussle. However, the Brit has reacted to such claims in a dominative fashion.
The team is the team, Max is part of the team, Helmut is part of the team, I lead this team, and everybody has a key role to play.Christian Horner said in an interview with PlanetF1
Horner clarified that everybody is a part of Red Bull and has an important role in the functioning of the team. The Brit admitted this even with the threat of the Dutchman walking away from the team. Even Verstappen or Marko are not bigger than the team and the Austrian outfit can function properly without any of the other key members.
This statement by Horner was given even after several members of the team threatened to leave, and it could be interpreted as the Brit asserting his dominance. Subsequently, amid such conflicts within the team, Red Bull could again be surfing the F1 headlines for all the wrong reasons.
